I am an individual and family therapist with over 25 years of experience in the field. I work with adults experiencing problems with depression, anxiety, marital and relationship issues, eating disorders, sexual abuse, and post-traumatic stress disorder. I utilize integrative therapies that emphasize cognitive behavioral methods and mindfulness strategies. I tailor these approaches to meet the needs of each individual client, couple and family. My mission is to assist individuals in gaining insight about pains of the past, and help them develop clearer views of these problems. I teach clients to incorporate more effective coping skills that lead to a healthier and more balanced life.
Throughout my career, I have worked for multiple non-profit organizations, including Big Brothers/ Big Sisters, The Crisis Center, and Gateway Family Counseling. At Gateway, I provided counseling services in outpatient, residential, day care, middle, and high school settings. I spent 20 years in that position prior to moving into Private Practice.
